Overview
Okjungnyeo (옥중녀 / Woman in Jail, 1976) is a Korea–Hong Kong co-production set during the final years of World War II. The film centers on a group of Korean women imprisoned in a Japanese internment camp. Amid harsh conditions and abuse, the women form bonds of solidarity and begin to dream of escape and freedom.
